|

The A 534 in stock form...is a..."Best Buy"
Roll the coupling caps...and...it's... a "Best in Show"!
I rolled in a pair of Euro Oil .47uf...and a pair of .10uf...
This "puppy" knocked...off...my highly modded Canary's...which
featured $4,000...in genuine..."Western Electric Glass"...
had V-caps...installed...factory...(I now prefer the Euro's).
The only US dealer...for Euro's is Reference Audio Mods...$95 each...
Please tell Kyle...Cary...sent you! (I get a kick-back). |

Thanks Dr. for the update. I've passed it on to our Hot Rod dept, Planet 10 Hi-Fi.
btw, the 12AT7 roll makes it hard to go back to the 12AX7, except if I want a punchier sound for rock etc. And that was with our 85db Morels !!
Cheers,

I'm interested in trying the cap change, Dr Ears did you take any pics. I just took the bottom off my amp and was wondering about the space for the new caps, also do you have the position numbers for these caps, I think it's pretty obvious as there's only two .47 caps in there but I just want to make sure I'm changing the right caps.....
Thanks |
