I just got my B-283 in yesterday, hook it up to my Marshall MG DFX100 Solid State Amp you definitely can hear the improvement in the sound and tone it has more output more clarity the notes seem to have a little more definition and for the distortion it definitely has that warm crunch sound to it like a tube or a valve state amp. And as the tubes ages it should even sound better.
I'm every happy with it.
I'm jumping the gun here but I was wondering how do I replace the fuse if I need too. |

Cool, thanks for the feedback, please keep us updated as you get around 100 hours on it. Did you notice that you play quiter with the same tone? Thas what many are telling me 'over the phone ! .
The fuse is pretty easy to open it is in the socket where the plug goes, you should have a spare in there, but if you have the new dual voltage unit, check the fuse rating that is in use for 110V as supplied.
Cheers,

Direction for use it tells you where the fuse is but it doesn't tell you how to get to it and the picture in the booklet for the tube processor is a little different from the one I have, do I need to remove the Power input plug or is there a secrets compartment.
Yes I can play quiter with the same tone. |

Yes you have to unplug it to get at the fuse, which avoids you getting at the fuse with power going to the unit. We changed the B-283 late last year to get the 110/220v ability, guess the manual didn't change.
Use a small flat screwdriver or knife, thick guitar pick or your fingernail in a pinch to pop the fuse holer out, it is on the side where there are 2 prongs of the power socket, you can feel a little notch.
Cheers,
