I recieved my b-283 tube buffer and found a problem with the left channel output. After talking with tech. department for some time we found an impass as to what the problem was.
They did not treat me like an idiot as some tech. people do and after exhausting all normal problems as to cords and inputs , they were more than glad to take it back for exchange because of my impatients reguarding repairs which would have been no problem either for them.
It's nice to be treated with respect to my knowledge of this area.
just another post from a very happy customer!!

Our policy is to have you enjoying music without delay. Received the B-283 (sample unit) back and confirmed a dead channel. Can't wait to hear your comments on your replacement in your bass rig and wherever else you use it.
Thanks for your patience and understanding.

btw, it was a cold solder joint. The first one we sold, the next 400 or so now, no problems at all, even only 2 tubes have failed !!
Cheers,
