Recommended 5mv phono cart?

Reading through the product information on the 307, I noticed that the recommended voltage for a phono cart is 5mv. How would this pre-amp behave on a lower output cart? Most of mine are 3.5mv to 4.0mv. What about MC low output? Any thoughts? Darcy

Not a problem, 5mv is recommended and there is enough gain to drive a 2.5mv cartridge.
