On occasion we get one in on trade, contact us. Might be your lucky day to get this amazing amp.

The A-34 is stunning to look at, build like a tank with custom hand made transformers and sounds so sweet at low volume, with the balls to annoy your neighbors a block away. Only at 7.5 on the volume scale do you start to hear the distortion get beyond spec. Like all GF amps at 7.5 on the volume scale with no source signal, you need to put your ears to the speaker to hear any background noise at all.

The A-34 is my personal favourite amp as I'm a rocker at heart and love to blast my system, so when I'm sitting down to listen to Genesis, Yes, Kim Mitchell etc, this is the amp I reach for, it's so musical and kicks butt.

Besides the sound, my favourite part about the A-34 is how it matches so well to inexpensive 'Vintage Speakers', like my Mirage 750's' or Kilipsch KG-2's, let it rip or put on some soft music to sit back and relax to the beautiful sweet sound of the infamous EL34 tube. This is the amp many musicians buy, it is they sound they know when making music and doesn't hurt the wallet.

If you are just starting out or are rediscovering the magic of tubes, this is the amp to start with and may be all the amp you ever need.

This model will be discontinued in 2009 and replaced by new model.

I cannot believe the sound of this thing

I dont know how many A-34 units were sold but I am gessing there are a lot happy people out there and I am one of them. I am new to tubes and I cannot believe the sound of this thing. My setup is Focal cobalt 806s speakers, Kimber 8VS cables and Nad C 525BEE cd player. This was originally hooked up to a Nad C 352 integrated amp. The sound was good, I like the ''british'' sound, but when I switched amps, woah... what a difference. The sounds I heard for the first time comming out of cd's that I listened to hundreds of times was amazing, I can only imagine what a higher level of tube amp and matching speakers would sound like. I would like to thank Ian for the technical help (I had a ground loop issue) the whole experience at GF has been incredible (thank you Rachel) from sales to setup. It is time to sit down, crank up the volume and feel the grin getting bigger and bigger.

Thank you all at GF.

p.s.: hope to see ya all at the Montreal sound show in 2009.

Charles
