This 2A3 amp was a by-product during our design process of the A-534 single ended triode 300B tube amp. To overcome the 300B tube's limited power but still maintain the sweet sound and details, 2A3 tubes are used in this amplifier to get output power to 14 watts per channel. The A-534 ended up using EL34 tubes to improve output so we never had the need to launch this 2A3 amp.

With this 2A3 amp, you no longer have to have high efficiency speakers as most 300B tube amps would demand. 2A3 design will also even give you more bottom end. 

As the wide variety of 300B tubes allow tube amp owners more option to upgrade their amp after initial purchase, we eventually decide not to officially launch the MS-2A3 model. But this should not be interpreted as the MS-2A3 is of inferior quality. This amp has the same tight parts specs as we have on other Grant Fidelity tube amps which are well reviewed.

It is a wonderful tube amp for the right owners who want to step out of the box, be different from the 300B crowd and be unique in your audio venture with the 2A3 design. 

The front acrylic cover is not necessary - in fact we recommend users to take it off to allow the tubes to ventilate and cool off better and maintain your tube life.
