Personally I like the Pavane better, it is the type of tube that shows what is wrong (and right) with another tube, the TJ has a brighter top end which may be good for some with a darker system, but this top end no longer sounds right to me. For less than the price of sought after NOS you can get both and choose for yourself, but my guess is that most will prefer the Pavane, it so well balanced, quieter which allows for more inner detail and it also rocks when needed
