Who is [Analog Sound™] by Line Magnetic? (click on link to read more)

During my work of promoting western speaker brands in Chinese market in the past years which are still ongoing, I came across [Analog Sound™] by Line Magnetic in our co-exhibiting shows and events there. Not only myself, but also the highly experienced designer /audiophile / ex music producer of a prestige western speaker brand, are more than astonished for what a magical sound the [Analog Sound™] line of tube amplifier can re-produce!

I decide that they must be known to the western world – it’s too good a treasure to be hidden in the east, and buried among the ‘Chi-Fi’ crowd.

[Analog Sound™] IS NOT A ‘ME-TOO’ TUBE AUDIO.  It is ‘Western Electric’ transformer technology with modern features – end result? It produces ‘Heavenly Sound’.

About AS-125PP:

This pair of integrated monoblocks, each with a pair of 211 output tubes in push-pull circuitry is NOT another ‘Me too’ tube amp. It combines the legendary Western Electric transformer technology and many modern user friendly features, to make it a pair of top performance tube amps, that can drive even those ‘known to be very difficult to drive’ speakers.

Why 211 output tubes but not other types such as 845?

Many legendary Western Electric tube amp in the old days used 211 tubes as output tubes for its outstanding sound signature. In order to make 211 tubes sound to its best, it puts great demand to the transformers quality and capacity. This is a design and cost challenge to many commercially produced tube amps. Only very few high end tube amp brands worldwide today use 211 tubes in their flagship models.

In order to prove itself being among the ‘best of world’, [Analog Sound™] has chosen to tackle the ‘most challenging’ design by using 211 output tubes rather than the commonly used 845 tubes. It produces better separation, bigger sound stage, greater dynamic than 845 tubes can.

Another reason for using 211 tubes is that NOS 845 tubes have been hyped worldwide to outrageous price… yet NOS 211 tubes even new production high end 211 are still relatively affordable! More money can go into bettering the overall design of the amp, instead to the pricey tubes that need replacement throughout the tube amp’s lifespan. Overall, this is a win-win to both manufactures and the consumers.

Do not feel discouraged by the lower output power rating of 211 tubes compared to 845. When designed with the right transformers and circuity, in this case push pull,   211 tubes can give you heavenly sound that neither 845 nor 805 can match up and deliver. You can see in pictures below that we used AS-125PP to drive 8 x 10 inch woofers made by Morel in Israel – Morel drivers are known to be ‘power hungry’ but these amps drive them beautifully to an astonishing dynamic, depth and imaging!

These 211 amps can not only give you the sweetness of 300B type mid-range and high frequency, but also deep bass like a KT88 can dive to.

They will re-shape your belief of what a well designed tube amplifier can really deliver in terms of REAL POWER. It will rock your musical world.
