When you as buyer are receiving overseas factory-direct shipment originated from outside of your residence country, customs clearance process is required for importing and delivering an order to your destination address.
It’s buyer’s absolute responsibility to pay tax, duty and related fees charged by your government agency, in your residence country/province.
For Canadian buyers, please calculate your purchase sales tax (= purchase price x your local tax rate). If the courier has collected a total amount that is more than the GST/HST amount applicable in your province, please forward the tax bill from courier by .pdf file then we will refund the amount above your sales tax back to you via Paypal.
For outside of Canada buyers, couriers will collect tax / duty as per your country’s customs rules at time of customs clearance. We as a Canadian business cannot interpret foreign tax rules – please consult your local government regulations.
Please note that brokerage and duties / taxes are non-refundable in any circumstances. It is not possible for us to reclaim such amounts back once paid to government agency so they are non-refundable sunk cost.
